Some say Paris is one of the most beautiful, romantic and cultural cities. Not without reason it is one of the top 5 most visited places in the world.
Keeping in mind that not always something nice and fun to majority is the same to you as well, we decided to confront those opinions in reality.
It was supposed to be a simple 4 day trip spent on sightseeing, food tasting and soaking up the culture ;). Our ‘Must see’ list was long and tough to be realized in such short time, but we somehow made it. The places we saw were nice, but not that amazing they were described to be. We were tired of those crowds of tourists waiting in long lines to every attraction and security checks. We felt everyone wanted to sell us something or simply trick us.
There was no charm, until…

We left a map in a hotel room, grabbed some croissants and drinks and just took a walk by the Seine river and had a little picnic with a nice Eiffel view. And honestly, if I could turn back time, I would definitely give up some ‘must visit’ museums. Instead I would just walk some random streets away from the city center and observe French in their daily life.

Food tasting conclusions:
- snails are tasty IF you prepare them well, otherwise they’re ugly
- calvados itself is disgousting, but quite drinkable with apple juice (not a whisky fan)
- if you plan to propose on Eiffel Tower, you can buy upstairs champagne in a PLASTIC glass (safety reasons)
- if you like sweets, French breakfast is something for you. Croissant with butter every day is a must
