It has been over 7 months since we moved to Toronto and we try to enjoy every single day here.
As car enthusiasts we couldn’t miss the Honda IndyCar Race.
The annual event takes place at the Exhibition Place, on the shores of Lake Ontario. The street circuit is 2,8km long and has 11 turns. During the 3 day event people can watch many different races like:
- NASCAR Pinty’s Series
- Pro Mazda Championship
- Porsche GT3 Cup
- Stadium Super Truck race.

There are some autograph sessions with drivers, fan zones, you can visit car paddocks or challenge your skills on driving simulators. The last and most spectacular is the 85-lap Verizon IndyCar Series race, where the average speed exceeds 140km/h.
We were quite disappointed that the general admission fee (40CAD) did not include access to any of the grandstands. The view through a double fence was similar to the one outside the Exhibition Place and that one was for free. We did like the Nascar and Porsche Paddocks though where you could watch the cars being prepared for the race. Also there was Toronto and Ontario Provincial Police Zone with few cars available to view and take pictures in.
Every fan who loves beautiful machines and the noise of racing cars should check this event out. Worth it!
